Albania entered a gasification era with the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The Country’s Gas Master Plan was presented on 6th July this year.
Safety is of paramount importance and priority in Gas Sector, globally. The gasification of Albania apart from the significant contribution to the Albanian economy will also introduce the country the worldwide high safety standards of the Oil and Gas sector. Already a good sample is offered by TAP. Consequently, it will provide an excellent opportunity for Albania to improve the safety standards overall as a main responsibility towards the environment and the citizens.
In this framework, an initiative has been undertaken since October 2015 by the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Albania, in cooperation with MANAGEMENT FORCE Group, a specialized Safety Consultant with a long and deep experience in safety in the Oil & Gas sector. This is a Safety Capacity building programme focused on Gas Pipelines Safety and the interrelation with developing safety at country level. The initiative is under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy & Industry of Albania. Already two workshops have been very successfully offered one in October 2015 and the second in May 2016.
